Meredith and Chad say “I Do”

I was very honored, overwhelmed with joy and excitement when Chad and Meredith asked me to Photograph their Wedding Day.

I love their location where they chose to exchange their vows, a one of a kind. … and it’s in Stokes County!

I have to take this time to thank my 2nd and third shooters, Cindy and Daniel.  Could not have done it without their help , assisting, their extra eyes and some good loyal photogs to

have my back and joke around and keep me calm in my nervous panic moments! Ha! THANK YOU.

Ceremony and Reception Location: Private Home in Stokes County, near where the groom grew up.

Gown:  The ivory gown, designed by Casablanca, has a mandarin neckline with a keyhole back.  The gown included a beaded lace appliqués sewn onto netting over silky satin.

Accessories:  EARRINGS: Kate Spade, SHOES: Valentino Couture Lace Bow Pumps, HEAD PIECES:  Birdcage veil with ostrich feathers for ceremony and fascinator head piece for reception

Honorary Bridesmaid:  Dress/gown of their own choosing in any array of wedding colors; chartreuse green, emerald green, royal blue and light blue.

Groom/Best Man: A slim fit grey pinstripe suit designed by Pronto Uomo with black silk suspenders, white Ralph Lauren fitted dress shirt, light blue silk Nautica tie and pocket square.

Honorary Groomsmen: Vintage look of dark/grey slacks, white dress shirts, suspenders, bowties and newsboy/fedora hats

Invitations and Programs: Invitations Only, Winston-Salem, NC

Cake: Five tier, multi-flavored [(2) layers of Chocolate - Chocolate Chip, (1) Strawberry, (1) White Wine, (1) Italian Cream] wedding cake and decorated with hydrangeas.  The cake topper, of two birds, came from the bride’s parents original wedding cake.  Cake made by Artist’s Way Catering

I had the honor to capture yet another stunning Bride.

This location took place at a private residence located in Stokes County, NC – Hanging Rock, Where the Wedding Day took place as well.

I absolutely enjoyed covering every bit of Megan & Gus’ Wedding at Hodgin Valley Farm May 5, 2012.

The rain joined us and delayed us slightly but we didn’t skip a beat! Everything was just perfect!

A very elegant twist of vintage – I love the baby’s breathe, burlap and mix of terra cotta pots through out.

The Mantel was salvaged from an older family home and had sentimental value as her bouquet filled with broaches and jewelry pieces did as well.

Just a few weeks ago I was scheduled to capture this adorable family. I received an unexpected text explaining that they had to reschedule, that Jackson had been snake bit.

I was horrified!  Not only as a Mom too, but I have captured this family since Maternity Session!

Jackson fully recovered after having to be hospitalized after he was bit by a copperhead.  He is such a cutie and I was happy for a speedy recovery so I could capture this time in their life.

This Family means a lot to me. Not only are they wonderful friends… this is where I started my business almost 5 years ago…

their 1st Maternity Session… and mine too!

It’s pretty cool to have such loyal clients come back year after year and document their life.

Now entering my 5th year it’s also pretty interesting to see how much my work and business has changed overall.

Soon Happy Birthday to Ava!  Soon we will be welcoming Baby Kiser here on the Blog.

Congrats to Chancey and Justin!

This was another complete DIY Wedding!  It came together so lovely in the middle of a field.  All the guest brought their own quilt to sit on as they sat on hay bales.  The chances of Thunderstorms were very high yesterday, in fact…. I kept checking MyRadar Weather app like crazy!  It was heading straight towards us… we went on with the First Look, Group Shots and Ceremony and still no rain! It dodged us slightly by heading north, THANK GOODNESS!

Chancey and Justin’s Wedding took place on Vaden Family Land where Chancey grew up.  She is a Hair Stylist and the creative mind that she has, she made the boutonnieres and her own bouquet, adding her own special, unique touches through out.  The Bridesmaids carried Balloons instead of flowers.

The Ceremony Altar was a free standing barn wood wall which held frames in memory of loved ones that are no longer with us.  The Dresser was Chancey’s as a little girl!  There were so many more details through out the field and reception. I feel at home when I cover Weddings like this.
